Electrical Assessment & Infrared Inspection
Find the problem before it becomes a shutdown.
Loose connections and overloaded circuits can develop out of sight. Our assessment documents the condition of your electrical system, helps identify signs of overheating, and gives you a clear plan for addressing issues before they lead to downtime or equipment damage.
What we do
Infrared scan.
With the system running under normal load, our qualified electricians use a FLIR thermal camera to inspect safely accessible breakers, fuses, and connections. Hot spots can point to loose connections, overloads, or deteriorating components that need further investigation.
Document your system.
We document the panels included in your assessment: breaker layouts and ratings, wire and feeder sizes, system voltage, and amperage ratings. Where safely accessible, we take load readings on the main, neutral, and branch circuits, and note any access or testing limitations in your report.
Correct connections and verify.
For connection work, we coordinate a shutdown, de-energize the equipment, apply lockout/tagout, and verify it is safe to work on. We follow the manufacturer’s maintenance and torque instructions, using calibrated torque tools suited to each connection. After power is safely restored, we rescan under comparable load and document the results and any remaining issues.
Hand you a report.
You get clear documentation of what we found and what we corrected, including before-and-after thermal images for completed repairs where conditions allow, plus recommended next steps and what to keep an eye on going forward.
Why it matters
Help prevent costly shutdowns.
Identify developing connection problems before they interrupt equipment, lighting, or your operation.
Reduce fire risk.
Overheating connections can create a fire hazard. Identifying and addressing them early helps reduce that risk.
Support your maintenance records.
Our reports and thermal images document your preventive maintenance and can be shared with your insurer or inspector to review against their requirements.
Plan ahead.
Know what needs attention now and what can wait, so repairs happen on your schedule, not during an emergency.
- Equipment we inspect
- Main switchgear, panels, transformers, transfer switches, UPS systems, and generators.
- Ideal for
- Property managers, facility and maintenance teams, commercial buildings, restaurants, retail, and any business where an outage means lost revenue.
